چکیده

This paper discusses predictor-corrector iteration schemes (PC iteration schemes) based on direct collocation-based Runge-Kutta-Nystr??m corrector methods (RKN corrector methods) for solving nonstiff initial-value problems (IVPs) for systems of special second-order differential equations y??(t)=f(y(t)). Our approach is to regard the well-known parallel-iterated RKN methods (PIRKN methods) as PC iteration processes in which the simple, low-order last step value predictors are replaced with the high-order Adamstype predictors. Moreover, the parameters of the new direct collocation-based RKN corrector methods are chosen in such a way that the convergence rate of the considered PC iteration processes is optimized. In this way, we obtain parallel PC methods with fast convergence and high-accurate predictions. Application of the resulting parallel PC methods to a few widely-used test problems reveals that the sequential costs are very much reduced when compared with the parallel and sequential explicit RKN methods from the literature. ?? 2001 OPA (Overseas Publishers Association) N.V. Nordsieck representation of high order predictor-corrector Obreshkov methods and their implementation

Predictor-corrector (PC) methods for the numerical solution of stiff ODEs can be extended to include the second derivative of the solution. In this paper, we consider second derivative PC methods with the three-step second derivative Adams-Bashforth as predictor and two-step second derivative Adams-Moulton as corrector which both methods have order six. Implementation of the proposed PC method ...

A new model of (I+S)-type preconditioner for system of linear equations

In this paper, we design a new model of preconditioner for systems of linear equations. The convergence properties of the proposed methods have been analyzed and compared with the classical methods. Numerical experiments of convection-diffusion equations show a good im- provement on the convergence, and show that the convergence rates of proposed methods are superior to the other modified itera...

High Order Compact Finite Difference Schemes for Solving Bratu-Type Equations

In the present study, high order compact finite difference methods is used to solve one-dimensional Bratu-type equations numerically. The convergence analysis of the methods is discussed and it is shown that the theoretical order of the method is consistent with its numerical rate of convergence. The maximum absolute errors in the solution at grid points are calculated and it is shown that the ...

In this paper, the (m+1)-step Adams-Bashforth, Adams-Moulton, and Predictor-Correctormethods are used to solve rst-order linear fuzzy ordinary dierential equations. The conceptsof fuzzy interpolation and generalised strongly dierentiability are used, to obtaingeneral algorithms. Each of these algorithms has advantages over current methods. Moreover, for each algorithm a convergence formula can b...

Practical Implementation of Scalar and Vector Control Methods on a Rotor Surface Type Permanent Magnent Synchronous Machine Drive/System Using a PC

In this paper, using a personal computer (PC), the practical implementation of scalar and vector control methods on a three–phase rotor surface- type permanent magnet synchronous machine drive is discussed. Based on the machine dynamic equations and the above control strategies, two block diagrams are presented first for closed-loop speed controlling of the machine drive/system. Then, the desig...
